Formerly known as Facebook, META is a Multinational technology company, founded by Mark Zuckerberg and his college roommates in 2004. Last year during February, Meta has came up with its new facility for the users, i.e. Meta Verified Account or Blue Tick accounts, especially for the creators. In this feature, Meta will verify the account’s credibility, authenticity of the accounts and then grant a blue tick to those celebrity accounts. If you see any Facebook accounts with blue tick, then they are Meta verified accounts.

To get Meta verified or to get a blue tick on accounts, one needs to submit their valid ID proof to the company. Though this was restricted to Facebook earlier, later the feature was spread to the Instagram as well. Many creators, collaborators, business owners and famous accounts with huge followers got Meta verified accounts. This helped users to increase the trust level of their accounts.

After Facebook and Instagram, now its turn of the widely used communication app, WhatsApp. Yes! you heard it right. After series of discussions since last September, Meta has now decided to grant blue tick to WhatsApp business accounts as well. This was confirmed by Mark Zuckerberg in a recent annual conversation held in Brazil.

As per Mark, Meta verification of the WhatsApp business accounts will be rolled out soon in India as well, apart from Brazil, Indonesia, and Columbia. WhatsApp business accounts can verified as Meta Verified accounts, and get blue ticks on their accounts by purchasing the subscription. This will help WhatsApp business accounts to show their accounts authenticity to it’s customers.

Users can also easily identify whether the accounts are trustable or not. Businesses can easily connect with their customers. In a way it will help to reduce the WhatsApp scams that are running in the name of business recently. Another good news is that, subscribers those who already paid for Facebook and Instagram verification, need not to pay for their WhatsApp meta verification.
